Description of service

I was a new business owner to the market place. I have advertised in a lot of other ways like, TV and radio. I have never used the yellow pages until I moved to Florida. In the package I bought for the year contained my sales fees, the price to creat the ad using a graphic designer, and the space that I was using. In my case it was a color ad on a half page.

Review of Service

My sales representative was good at the selling part. He was terrible in the follow up. To him, I was just another sale. His advice seemed authnic at the time. He showed me statistics and rating for the market I was getting ready to advertise in. Later I found out that his information was all wrong when I was ready to start advrtising on the local television station. They had new software with up to date information. The yellow pages representative gave me false information. He also woundn't refund any of my money. I was out $50,000 and no good leads from the ad. Why? People are using the internet more and more today. They are looking up businesses on the internet as well, so they can get a rating on them.

Tips

Be careful when talking to sales reps. They are out for the sale. In today's economy, they need the commission to pay their bills. They will tell you anything you want to know, just to get your check. Make sure that they have verifiable statistical information befor you buy. Also, see if they will give your credit first, before writing a heafty check.
