the Price of an Ob/Gyn

Went to my OBGYN for my annual breast exam, pap smear, and gynecological exam. Was weighed, blood pressure taken, urine sample taken, full body exam including heart rate, pulse rate, lung check, breast exam, cervical exam, pap smear, anal exam, etc.

I love my OBGYN. She is young and has a great bedside manner. You never have to wait much longer than 15 minutes past your appointment, which is nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have a tendency to cry during my exam and my doctor is very gentle with me and talks to me about completely unrelated topics during the exam to help quiet my nerves. I did not cry this time and that is always nice. I would recommend my OBGYN to any woman. One positive thing about this exam is that I was told that if my pap came back negative for the pap virus, I would not have to have another pap for three years.

Be honest with your OBGYN. Any questions she asks you is for your own good and you need to be honest to get what you are paying for. Ask questions. If you need educated on something or have concerns, you must speak up. Your life may depend on it. Just go. I have so many friends who have not been to the OBGYN for years due to not liking the exam. Its not fun but its so important because these forms of cancers have no symptoms until its basically too late to save you.
