Description of service

I get cell phone servce through a local provider. Included in the bill is service for 2 phones, 700 anytime minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, and unlimited calling with-in the network. The bill breaks down as follows, 69.99 for the service for both phones, and 10.00 in government surcharges and other fees. The bill is usually about 80.00 a month. Any texting I do is .10 per text.

Review of Service

Overall I am satisfied with this service, I think that the plans are a little high, since I do not need that many minutes, but that is the lowest plan you can have when you have more than one phone. I also do not like the terms they have set for new phone credit upon contract renewal, since I do not have a higher priced plan, I only get a fraction of the credit for a new phone, and the second line is not eligible for a credit at all. Other than that though, I am satisfied with the service I receive, as far as the quality of the phone calls, as well as the customer service.

Tips

Make sure you shop around. See what providers offer service in your coverage area, this is extremely important for anyone who lives in the country, I have seen too many of my friends get cell phones and they don't even work where they live. Also find out who has the best plans for your needs. Do not buy a plan that has more than you need or a plan that does not have enough, because either way you will be wasting money.
