Description of service
When I got my January 2008 bank statment I saw that I incurred a $35.00 overdraft fee. I didnt know that it was for because according to the statment it looked like I had enough money in the bank. SO I called up the bank to find out why I received the fee. They explained to me that at the time I made my deposit in the bank it had not yet cleared before a check was cashed. They said that this type of overdraft fee that i incurred said that they went ahead and paid the check it is just that I got the fee.
Review of Service
The service was good. When I called up the bank they explained the policy to me and stated that a check deposit needs to clear before a check can be written against it. They went ahead and refunded the fee to me as a one time curtosey and explained the policy to me again. The bank aslo went ahead and paid the check for me even though I did not have enough money to cover it.
Tips
Make sure that you know the bank's policies before you sign up for them. If you have any questions about a transaction do not hesitate to call the bank and ask them a question.
