the Cost of Water and Sewer Service

The price of our water bill has just incresed. We were paying about $150 for three months worth of service but they have increased the charges to actual usage now instead of an average for the area. The majority of the cost goes towards sewer charges and the rest is split fairly evenly. We have a 1 and a quarter story home with 2 bathrooms.

To me this seems like quite a hefty price and I am a bit worried to see what our water bill will be once the summer comes with more outdoor usage.

However the increase is because they are trying to conserve the water in the area more.

Personally I do not understand why the charge is so much. Considering the fact that our world is made up of two thirds water and the water that we used is constantly recycled it seems a bit absurd that the prices are increasing.

Our water is clean though and we are able to drink from the tap as well and dont necissarily need to use a filter or bottled water. I guess since the economy is entering a scare for a recession it is only fair that there are increases being made with the cost of essentials for every day living.

However I do appreciate the fact that we are able to go a few billing cycles before the threat of a shut off notice is sent. not that I ever reccomend doing that.

Bill pay can be done via mail, as well as calling. The internet option is not the best, you need to have your bill and go to a different type of website to make a payment and there is a fee connected for online bill pay of like $7.
