In the city that I live in, the water, sewer, and garbage is included in one bill. It cost 32.81 for water, 14.89 for sewer, 10.00 for garbage, and 1.30 for tax for one month.

My average monthly water bill is around $60.00, so I feel that the price is fine. I think that $10.00 a month for garbage pick up is really cheap. We have never had any problems with our service. The only thing that I don't like is that the water company charges a 15% charge if your more than ten days late, so really have to mail your payment as soon as you receive it. The employees have always been friendly and helpful with any questions.

You can easily save money on your water bill by taking care not to waste water. For example, turning the water off while you brush your teeth is a simple way to start. Replacing old shower heads with water effecient shower heads is another way to save money on your water bill. Be sure to wash clothes only when its full and use the dishwasher with full loads to save water. Also, check for leaks in your comode and sinks.
