the Price of a Day of After School Daycare

This is for 1 day - from 1 to 3 1/2 hours - of after school care for one child.The fee includes supervision, homework help, organized activities and a snack.

This is a pretty good service. The after school care is actually right at the school, so there is no transportation needed. The children are supervised by 3 adults. They receive homework help, have time to play outdoors, and play supervised games, whether it be an active game or board type games. They also have time for free play most days and make a craft project several times a week. About once a week they watch a movie. They also have a small snack each day.

The service is ideal for my family.I really like that the children don't have to be transported to another facility after school. The supervisors are friendly, seem to really like the children, and the children really seem to like them. My child stays the full time, 3 1/2 hours, so I feel that the price is reasonable. For a child who only stays for an hour, it may seem a little pricey, but the convenience and level of supervision may well be worth the extra expense.

Obviously, any time you are looking for child care be sure to check references. If possible, personally talk to other families using the service.Try to drop in occasionally at a time different from the norm, just to see how things are going.
