Description of service
When we paid by the day for after school day care we paid $20.00 per day. This included picking our son up from school, activities at the day care and help with home work if applicable. The hours were from 2:30 p.m. until up to 6:30 p.m.
Review of Service
I was a stay at home mom when my daughter was born and through her first few years of school. Occasionally though, I would be unable to pick her up from school. That's where the per day after school day care came in. The price was a bit more than you would pay as a regular customer but there is a little more of a hassle dealing with a child you're not used to and incorporating them into the class with the other kids. The people who we used were great. They made a point of making my daughter feel comfortable. I was over 15 minutes late picking her up once and they were gracious about it and did not charge me extra or make me feel bad. They activities they planned were always fun and educational, which can be a difficult balance to strike.
Tips
Even if you stay home with your child it's a good idea to have a good recommendation on a by-the-day after school daycare like this. You never know what might come up.
