the Price of Limo Rides to the Airport

Used a Limo service to go to the Airport. My other options would have been driving myself and leaving car at the airport or having a friend drive me early in the morning.

Driver picked me up at house exactly on time. He handled my luggage and even had a morning paper for me.

Arrived at the sirport on time and driver handled my luggage until i was inside terminal.

I had nver used a limo service before, figured it was for rich people. As i looked at my options for a short trip i was taking i saw that actually it was not that bad financially. To park my car at the airport would have cost me $12/day. I was going for 5 days so this would have run me $60. Also my family would not have been able to use my car for those days. Also it would have cost me gas and tolls which easily would have run $15. This would make the total $75 (plus inconvenince). The cost of the Limo (both ways) was $80 (i tipped him $5 each way). So the reality is that i spent $5 for a very enjoyable and i might add ego building trip. There is something special about being picked up at the house in a brqand new lincoln towncar (not really a limo) and being spoiled a little. Also when i returned he was waiting in the loby and handled my luggage again to the car. I have to say the limo ride was the highlight of my trip. The driver was great and i will certainly use him again. He is in business for himself and it shows.

Here are a few tips to survive this experience -

1. Check around with your friends and see if anyone has a recomendation, ask them about pricing and tipping.

2. Dont use a service, find a independent driver, the are more invested in your experience and build their business on work of mouth advertising.

3. Make sure you fully understand financial arrangements before the trip. Do they take CCs? Do you have to pay any tolls, etc.? Most of the drivers want to handle this right away so it doesnt interfere with the trip.

4. Make conversation with the driver, make it s personal relationship, so he knows you for the next time
