the Price of Skin Treatments

I visited a dermatologist in New York City for treatment of a keloid scar on my chest. I received fifteen treatments in order to eliminate the keloid.

Each visit cost approximately $60.00. This cost included the visit and supplies. I shopped around and in NYC, this was a great price for the services.

Excellent. The doctor was honest in his diagnosis\opinion---he laid out all of my options, along with costs, and allowed me to choose what worked for me. His hours are excellent---the office stayed open until 9pm!

One downside of visiting a doctor with excellent prices and a great reputation is that the office is ALWAYS busy. He never rushes a visit--so he can get backed up. In other words, the only downside to this service was that I had to wait a while in the waiting room. An hour or more. But, looking back it was worth it. The service was phenomenal.

I recommend finding a doctor that is honest and up front with you. It is rare to find a doctors office that is so knowledgeable\open\honest about the pricing. And accurate!

So, I recommend looking around and not settling with the first doctor that you find.
