the Price of Skin Treatments

The service was to go on the product Accutane which is to treat severe cases of Accutane. Ever had those gross, icky red bumps on your face, back, or even mouth before? Of course you have. But some have it all over their body. This treatment is for those that have it all over. Quite controversial, Accutane is a 4-6 month treatment program designed to completely wipe out any future occurrences of acne. While not always perfect and coming with often times side effects....some more severe than others....some doctors do not prescribe it and speak highly against it. I, with the advice of my doctor and parents, decided to go ahead and try it with my local dermatologist.

The quality of my treatment was excellent. Granted, there are frequent blood tests and check up at the dermatology office, the service is worth it. Accutane took away any acne that I ever had and I have yet to have a break-out since. I highly suggest it if you struggle with horrible acne.

1)Try and take accutane during the winter months. Accutane dries up the skin and makes you more vulnerable to overheating, sunburn, and sunlight in general. It is best to take accutane during the winter months to avoid this at all costs.

2)Establish a good relationship with your local dermatologist and/or doctors office. They will become your friend and will be taking your blood samples and giving you your dosages and checking in on you.

3)Accutane has been known to have side effects of depression. If you experience any feelings of sadness, let your doctor know immediately

4)Insurance! Make sure you have good insurance so you don't have to pay so much for accutane.
