Description of service
We paid $99 per month for satellite television service. The $99 included ten movie channels, a variety of news stations, a sports package, children's package, and all of the basic channels. It did not include any taxes.
Review of Service
We really didn't like the satellite TV service. We thought it was a lot of money to pay for all of those channels. Most of the time, there were never any good movies on the movie channels. We liked all of the news channels, and we liked the fact that we were able to watch all of our favorite sports teams. It is kind of deceiving, because the $99 per month does not include any taxes. In the end, you really end up paying closer to $120 per month. We decided to switch over to digital cable after six months of service, and that ended up being a lot cheaper.
Tips
When you are trying to decide whether or not to get satellite TV, you should consider the cost. You should decide if you really need all of those channels. If you don't watch a lot of movies or aren't really involved with sports, you might be better off going with digital cable from your local cable provider.
