I had my hair straightened a year and a half ago. They provide chemical hair straightening, wash, deep conditioning, and style afterwards, including chemicals, shampoo, and deep conditioner treatment

I will never have my hair straightened again. My hair is still extremely dry and fragile, even though it was a year and a half ago that I had my hair straightened. My hair has a crummy wave to it, which is really wavy in the back and underneath, but the top and front is very straight. The stylist took little consideration for how fine my hair is, as well as the color treatment I had received the week prior to the chemical straightening. The stylist failed to warn me against the constant dryness and tangling I would be dealing with afterwards, as well as how dull and lustreless my hair would look afterwards. I will never again have my hair straightened, and would try to discourage anybody else with fine, light-colored hair from having their hair chemically straightened, as well.

If you still want to have your hair chemically straightened, don't do it within a week of coloring your hair. Also, give your hair a good, heavy conditioning for several days before you have it straightened. Don't wash your hair the day before or the day of the straightening--it will be less damaging for your hair in the long run. Invest in a good detangling conditioner for afterwards, as well.
