Description of service

Early this year, our upstairs bathroom started leaking. We did not notice for a few weeks, until we saw a stain forming on our dining room ceiling, which smelled a bit musty. We had recommended to us a general contracting firm, who tore open the ceiling, found the leak in the toilet drain pipe, and replaced the section of pipe. They then had to tear out large sections of the wall and ceiling which were marred with dirty water, and repair the bathroom floor, which had started to deteriorate.

Review of Service

When all was finished, everything was like new. The ceiling was fixed, and the new sections were seamlessly installed with the original ceiling. The wall was repaired, and was also seamlessly integrated into the original wall. The contractors we hired came at the recommendation of my girlfriend's family, who had used this firm many times in the past. The contractors not only promptly and accurately diagnosed the problem, but repaired it promptly and correctly. They then recommended how best to repair the walls and ceiling, even showing us how we could save money by using certain materials.

Tips

With contractors, always look for trusted recommendations. Don't ever gamble with someone who you don't know, because it's YOUR home they are working on. If they ruin something, or charge you too much, your options are limited.
