I have been wanting to finish the remodel of my master bathroom that I started over two years ago. It just got to be too complex of a job for me to finish. So I decided to hire a contractor to finish the rest of the job. The $4000 include new bathtub/shower, vanity, fixtures and a new tile floor and of course labor to install and run the plumbing for everything.
Review of Service
The company I went to was actually part of a company that my dad works for so I thought it would be a great way to cheaply finish the bathroom. Boy was I wrong, while I don't think the cost was bad, it definitely wasn't worth the wait to get the project finished. I felt like I was secondary to all the other projects our contractor was working on. In the end it took over a month. I'm just happy to be finished because my wife and I were getting tired of using the downstairs bathroom all the time. The contractor was friendly and deceptive, but that's kind of what you would expect from a contractor. At least it didn't cost more that I was quoted.
Tips
I would just spend the extra money for a contractor whom I don't have a connection with so the project could be finished on time. Oh well. I guess next time.
