Description of service

This is basic tuition price for a college preparatory 7-12 school. This price does not include an extra fee charged for participation in sports or for other incidental expenses like uniforms, lunches, etc. The school has mandatory uniforms for the students and strict guidelines for the teachers too. The school has a full range of sports and has a surprisingly diverse population. Roughly 20% of the kids are minorities and the school works very hard to keep the diversity ratio by awarding generous scholarships. There is a lot of busing and kids come from all over north east Ohio.

Review of Service

This school was well worth the money. The students are well disciplined and the social environment is more positive and friendly than at the public schools in the area. Actually I don't think the academics are that much better, but because the students want to learn and their parents expect them to work hard, the classrooms are quieter and the students no doubt learn a lot more.

Tips

Make sure you talk to other parents from the school you are looking at and also talk to parents at the corresponding public schools. You don't want to pay for a private school if the public schools are fantastic too, unless you motivation is based on the desire for you student to have religious teaching as part of his or her curriculum.
