the Price of Cake Decorating Classes

I wanted to learn something new so I found a local store that gives cake decorating classes. I paid $25 for the 4 week class and then I had to buy the cake decorating supplies which was what cost the most. I got everything I would need to decorate a cake for $60 but I got more then what you would think. I would go every Monday and Thursday from 6 pm to 7 pm. We learned how to make home made icing and that is what we worked with every time. We learned how to write on the cakes and to make flowers and leafs. We learned to make clowns and balloons as our first big project. I was told to practice at home so I would get better.

After just the first weeks I had learned so much. I was able to write on the cake and make real nice big roses and stars the right way. I am able to make the clowns and balloons and much more. I made my daughter a Barbie cake for her second birthday all by myself. It turned out great and everyone loved my home made icing. I was very pleased with what I learned and the money I spent.

Trying something different is always a good thing. You are never to old to learn something new. Cake decorating is something that you could show others from your daughter to your granddaughter. You can find classes like that in your local phone book or ask your local cake supply store if they know of any place that is teaching cake decorating.
