the Price of a Nanny

I decided to hire a personal nanny for my youngest son and my family because I am a single working mother of two. I did not want to put my two-year old into preschool yet and decided I would hire a nanny. She watched my son from 8:30 A.M. until 5 P.M. She made all his meals, kept the house clean, came up with learning activities for him to do and made sure he had a good amount of time outside.

I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of work I received. It made things much less stressful for me knowing I could depend on this person to care for my child the way that I would. Having the house clean when I came home was an added bonus. My son was always well rested and content when I walked through the door. The price was very reasonable considering how much preschools currently cost. And that one on one time for him worked best. I wish that I didn't have to work so that I could be at home but to me this was the next best thing.

I find it is very important to search diligently and make sure to do any and all background checks available before hiring someone to watch your child. Get as many references as you can and try to build a rapport or even a friendship with the person before you entrust them with your child's well-being. If you can find the right person for your family this can be a great experience.
