I hired a nanny to care for my 5 year old son at the time for $10/hour and also take care of light chores around the house as well as some light cooking. During the school year my nanny took my child to and from school as well as helped with homework.

The service I recieved was excellent. The nanny that I choose was very polite and was always on time. If I needed her to stay extra hours or come in a little early she was okay with that. She never complained. There was always a hot meal on the table for dinner and I never had to worry about my sons well being.

The only tip I would share with someone in need of a nanny is to make sure you carefully screen each and every person that applies to be your nanny. You never know what kind of people are out here these days so always be careful. There are different websites that you can go to for free credit reports so back sure you do a little digging before you trust just anyone with your child. Also make sure that it is a person that loves children. My nanny was in her early 50's and had already raised 5 children of her own so I knew that must of meant something.
