Description of service
This is the total price for a full service assisted living facility for my 87 year old grandmother. This includes a one bedroom with a private bath (which is specially designed to be easy to get in and out of) a small kitchenette, a living room and a small back porch. 3 meals are served everyday. There are a lot of activities but some of them (mostly just trips) do cost extra. She gets maid service once a week.
Review of Service
It's been hit and miss. Some of the staff is really professional and kind. Some of them are a little short with me sometimes when I ask questions about her medication dosage. The food is excellent - I have had the opportunity to taste it several times. My grandmother has made a lot of friends there and most of the staff treats her like they are all a big family. Her place is kept very clean and the cleaning staff is incredibly thorough.
Tips
I would definitely recommend finding a facility that offers health care services on site. It saves my grandmother from numerous trips a month that used to take a lot out of her. Make sure you try a meal out and try to talk to some of the residents before you sign up.
