the Price of Assisted Living Facilities

My grandmother is at the age in her life that she is independent but still needs some help. We are unable to care for her the way she needs so we decided to contact the local assisted living facility to see what they offer. The cost was decent for the services. There was not a lot of activities for the seniors however, they had just opened and had not figured out all that yet. We were told once they offered activities the price would increase.

My grandmother loved the facility very much. Once they started to offer activities, the price increased a lot but my grandmother was happy and started doing crafts and hobbies she had done at home. We decided it was still worth the extra money. Happiness is worth all the money in the world. My grandmother ate 3 times a day and they had snacks as well. There was an outdoor area that had chairs for sitting and a pool for visitors. The area was looking very nice and they were putting a lot of work into it. The staff there are terrific. They take care of the people and sit and talk and listen to all of their stories. The facility is kept very clean and organized. I have no doubts about this place.

When trusting someone to care for a loved one, don't just settle for the cheapest place you can find. You want to find someone who will take the time to do extra things for the one you love, not just the basics. Don't settle for less than what you would want someone to do for you.
