Description of service

I was on a dail-up internet provider plan for quite some time because there was no high-speed plans available in my area. I chose "the high speed" of dail-up. It cost just over $20.00 a month and came with a virus proctection program. When I finally got high-speed I could not believe how much of a differece there was in the connection. The monthly charge was quite a bit higher though. As far as dial up providers, I was very pleased with the connection and the costs of the service. To be honest dial up is more stable of a connection than the high speed I got now, it seems like it is always going down for a few minutes. The down load times with the dial-up was tedious, it took a hour to download a song, where with high speed it only takes a minute! The customer support with dial up was horrible, they could care less about what is going on, and it is the same with high speed, they give you the run around and try to talk you into having one of their tech's come out for a service charge. No matter what you get, the speed being dial up or cable, they are going to have their pro's and con's and will find a way to get your money from you. When you only pay $20 a month and have to sit for hours to do something you realize it is worth paying more to only take minutes to do.

Review of Service

Service was alright, the connection was good, though the customer service slacked some serious qualities and the tech support was a joke. If dial up is your only choice, get a wireless card from your cell phone provider!

Tips

Not worth the money, look for other options. be careful of what you chose and the price you are going to pay.
