Description of service

This was a walking tour of Philadelphia that lasted a little over 1.5 hours for $20, this included taxes and fees. There were at least 15 famous places on the tour and we stopped for enough time to snap a picture or two at almost each one. The tour went through the historical district, so we saw everything from the Liberty Bell to the National Constitution Center.

Review of Service

There were several tours that started on the hour, which was nice since we weren't restricted that much by time. It was a little long and some of the sites weren't that exciting that we wish we could have skipped. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, though he wasn't too good at answering questions because he didn't want to take too much time.

Tips

It's definitely possible to do the tour on your own - there are maps all over the place - for free. There is a visitors center that has free maps and people who can tell you which sites are best to see and at what times. However, if you're not in the mood to be risky and want to make sure you get where you want to go and have someone be able to talk about the places, the tour is definitely worth the money. Just know what tour company you want to go to first, it helps you stick to your agenda.
