Description of service

An hour and a half of basic ballet for adults at my studio is $18.00. Includes about an hour of barre work and 30 mins of center work. Classes vary in size and ability. Some classes have former professional ballerinas or women doing pointe work, but all ability levels are welcomed, especially beginners.

Review of Service

I love the teacher, which is why I go back, but the cost is prohibitive. I wish it was cheaper so I could go more often, but taking two classes a week is $40. Ballet is wonderful exercize and great for your posture. My teacher is always very attentive to each student and tries to engage everyone in the activity.

Tips

Make sure you have a teacher you like or you're less likely to continue practice. Make sure you go as often as you can to improve your abilities. Some classes have very good dancers, but that shouldn't deter you from dancing -- simply practice. Also, I'm there for the exercize and to increase flexibility, so the benefits outweigh any dilemmas. Make sure you wear tight clothing so the teacher can see your muscles and how you move them. Don't wear loose clothes like you would for yoga. You don't need to have ballet slippers, but make sure you at least have socks -- no dancing barefoot.
