the Price of a Couples Massage

This service included a 1 hour massage for my fiancee and I to receive at the same time. Depending on where you go to get the massage done, you may or may not be in the same room as your partner (we were not).

Overall, this couples massage was pretty disappointing. The main frustration I had with it was that we signed up to do a 'couples massage', which gives the impression that you will be in the same room together. Nope. Due to ordinances in our city, my fiancee and I were required to be in separate rooms during our massages. Naturally, the one thought that was raised in my mind was 'Well, then what's the point of a couples massage?' Fortunately, the pricing wasn't inflated for the couples massage; it cost $130, and a one hour individual massage is $65. So essentially, we were really just paying for two one hour individual massages, and they change the name to seem romantic.

I guess my advice would be to check your city ordinances or your masseuse's policy on couples massages before you buy one or plan one. Quite frankly I was disappointed in the experience and could think of plenty of other things we could do TOGETHER for $130. I mean, if we were going to be apart for an hour, I would have had her get a one hour massage and I would go get a few beers, and then we'd still be out less than $130!
