the Price of Youth Soccer

I paid this fee for my niece to join her local soccer league as a birthday present from myself and my partner. The fee for becoming a teammate was $65.00 and then there was an additional $20.00 uniform fee. The league ran for the months of June and July of last year, with the registration and payment made in May. They had eight games, one each Saturday, and everyone got the chance to play for at least 1/2 of each game.

My niece loved this and we really enjoyed having this fun thing to do with her and my sister on the weekends during the early summer. The coaches were all people that we knew from church and that made it so much more fun. We knew all the kids and their parents and would root for our kids at the games. I liked how there were no losers to speak of, as everyone was celebrated for what they did accomplish. I would definitely recommend this league to other parents/aunts/uncles.

Be prepared to have to kiss some boo-boos, as soccer does involve running and kicking, so sometimes the little ones fall down or run into each other. Try not to take it too seriously and to support your child and the others but not instill unethical competition in them. Realize that all of your Saturdays for a few months will be eaten up by the games and have fun with it!
