Description of service
A two year orthodontic treatment with brackets and braces to align teeth. Also includes retainers. Monthly visits are included. They took pictures and molds. Using computer imaging they are able to determine exactly where the braces should be placed and how they should be adjusted each visit. In theory, the price could increase slightly if the child doesn't follow the directions or abuses them in some way.
Review of Service
So far (5 months in) the service has been good. We set the appointments up several months in advance. The orthodontist always seems to be running on time. The appointments are fairly quick. My child seems to get along with the doctor and the assistant. We have gotten in for emergency adjustment quickly and with no problems. My child is able to select any color rubber bands she wants and that has become a big perk for her.
Tips
Learn about what your insurance will cover prior to going in. See several orthodontists before choosing the one you like. It is nice to select an doctor who is geographically close to you. It makes those emergency trips a lot easier. Get referrals from friends and neighbors to help in determing the right fit for you and your child.
