Description of service

I took a 6 month long painting class. The class met every other week and the total cost was $650 plus materials.

Review of Service

This was a great class. I felt that the week between classes worked really well. It gave us time to work on our paintings at home for a few weeks before bringing it in and getting help from the instructor or others.

This was an entirely hands on class. By the end we'd completed 5 paintings a piece. I was definitely very pleased with my improvement from my first painting to the last one I completed.

We did buy our own materials but they were spread out over the 6 months well so I didn't have to spend a ton of money at once.

The class was all people in their 20's or older which I also really liked about the class.

Tips

I think that taking a class, especially any kind of art class, over a longer period of time with more time between classes to reflect and practice, ends up giving you more out of your experience than a quicker class.

If you're thinking about taking a painting class, try to sit in on one of the classes before you sign up, so you know what kind of environment to expect.
