the Price of Drug Rehab

This is the price my husband and I paid to have our fifteen year old son admitted to a drug rehabilitation and treatment facility for six months. This included all therapy, meals and other living expenses, toiletries, and basically everything involved with the treatment. There were fifteen other kids in the treatment facility with him. The program was extremely strict and had an 88% recovery rate. Two counselers were employed full-time and basically live at the facility with the children. The center has both boys and girls, but they are separated at most times except for group therapy.

This was the best decision we could have made for our son. He had been using marijuana for some time, but drugs were just a symptom of his anger issues. The rehabilitation center taught him how to deal with his anger in a positive way. After six months of group therapy, one on one counseling, and family therapy, our son was ready to return to normal life. The transformation is miraculous! He now helps other young people as a peer to peer counselor at his school. We are so proud of the progress our son and us have made through this process.

If you suspect your child may have issues that you can no longer handle on your own, check into counseling first. A rehabilitaion center like the one our son went to was really a last resort for us.
