Public gym that offers classes  more... close row

Description of service

This review is for a public gym that offers classes like yoga and aerobics. They also offer one month free trainer services for free weights and cardiovascular fitness. There is a poll with a huge selection of free swim time and also water aerobics. They provide free child care for 1 1/2 hours. The price quoted is for a one year membership

Review of Service

This gym was excellent. The trainers were extremely helpful and didn't make me feel "out of shape" or stupid. The classes offered were very high quality. The one drawback was child care service. The child care was great, but they wouldn't change diapers. If it needed done, they would page me and I had to stop my workouts to go do it. Aside from that it was a great gym and i wish I was still a member. The only reason I didn't renew yet this year was because of money constraints.

Tips

Make sure the gym you go to has everything you are looking for. Call them and inquire about hours, child care, pool times. Ask if all their instructors are certified. Ask about family plans. It is often cheaper to pay for a family plan than single. Also ask about military or corporate discounts. i found out that the gym i was going to gave a 15% discount for the company I used to work for. Before signing, ask for a two week trial membership, most gyms will give you one because they want your business. The one I became a member at did.
