the Price of Teeth Whitening

My teeth have never been like corn cob yellow but after smoking for a few years and drinking dark drinks all the time they were pretty dingy looking. So I saved up some money to have them whitened professionally. I've bought whitening strips, whitening trays, whitening toothpastes, etc but my teeth had never really gotten as white as I would have liked them to be.

After talking to a lot of friends and family members I decided on a dentist. He wasn't the cheapest one but from what I'd heard he was pretty great. I chose to get the laser whitening. They put this stuff on your teeth and then you sit in a chair with this laser light focused on your mouth for about an hour or so. Depending on how much your teeth are discolored you may have to have more than one session. Fortunately, I only had to go through one session and my teeth were MUCH MUCH whiter. It is a lot to pay but it really works. The only downside is they could still use a little more whitening so instead of sitting through and paying for another session I decided to purchase some whitening strips from my dentist. They were different from the kinds you can get in the store.

If you're not ready to shell out the big bucks or if you'd just prefer to whiten at home I would ask your dentist if they carry whitening kits for at home use. My dentist said that the ones they carry are more effective than what you would get at a store.
