the Cost of Chrysler Repair

I came in with what I thought was a major transmission problem. Turned out to be just a bad spark plug, and didn't cost very much. I knew my break pads were getting bad, so they fixed them as well. The spark plug issue had something to do with the computer in the car. The way it was explained to me was: 1. spark plug wasn't firing right, 2. car computer gets confused, 3. computer gets into some kind of "emergency" mode, where it won't shift past 2nd gear. (Which is why I thought the transmission was bad). Fixing the spark plugs did the job for way less than I was expecting to pay.

This particular company was really great about explaining what was going wrong, how they would fix it, and really put it into terms that I (being a non-car person) would understand. Even though it was a transmission place, I have gone back to use them for other trivial things with my car, just because I was so happy with the service.

If you think your having transmission problems, check the spark plugs. It could be something that simple!

Also, maybe I'm a bad driver, but I've had to replace the break pads on this car a few times. So keep an eye out on them.
