the Price of Fiber Optic Bundled Services

This is the price for a "Triple Play" bundle of fiber optic Internet, telephone, and television services. It includes high speed Internet, unlimited local and long distance calling anywhere in the United States and Canada, and hundreds of television channels. The phone service also includes call waiting, caller ID, three way calling, and voice mail services. The TV service also includes HDTV services on any channel that broadcasts in HD. The price also includes a battery backup for the phone service in the event of a power failure. The installation was free, but there is an extra charge for the set top television boxes (I have two.) I pay $5 per month for a regular box on one TV, and $20 per month for an HD/DVR box on the other TV. This $20 charge also includes a premium movie channel package and access to On Demand services.

I love it!!! The upload and download speeds on my computer are unbeatable. The phone service is clear, but so was my last service, so I don't see much of a difference here. The television service is a dream! The picture is clear as a bell -- even on my non-HD television, I can make out the finest details on the screen. I have had no service interruptions or outages despite having severe rainstorms, snow and ice storms, and high winds since it was installed. There was a minor problem with the DVR box that the company identified and repaired within minutes over the phone line. I have more channels than ever before and am really enjoying TV for the first time in a long time.

Understand that there are extra charges for things like set top boxes, HD and DVR boxes, and premium TV services. My first billing cycle was a mess because they pro-rate everything, so don't panic if you don't understand your first bill. The next cycle went smoothly and I know exactly what my bill will be every month, unless I do international calling or order pay-per-view.
