The cellular phone company I am with offers the following plan that I subscribe to: unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling to and from same company customers, 700 minutes to use for other calling from local calling area to all of US. My local area includes all of Mississippi, Memphis to Jackson, Tennessee, and the coastal counties of Alabama. Nationwide minutes (roaming outside of local area) are .29/minute with long distance included. Caller ID is included. The base rate for this plan is $29.99 a month before tax. I pay an additional $9.99/month for unlimited nationwide text messaging, and $1.50 for call waiting. With taxes and fees I pay around $46 per month.
Review of Service
I am pleased with the cost of my plan. The majority of my calling is mobile-to-mobile so I love the unlimited usage my plan offers. Also, the included long distance and the flat roaming rate make my bill very managable. Since I don't travel and call much outside of my home area, my bill is exactly the same most months. This makes budgeting very easy. Other carriers have less consistent home calling areas or charge for text messages received. I prefer the "unlimited" aspects of my plan. I am also pleased with the tower coverage I have. While not perfect, it is very reliable in comparison to other wireless carriers.
Tips
Other features are available such as voice mail, call forwarding, conference calling, data minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, picture messaging, and Internet options. Each feature has its own fee. I do wish voice mail was included or was less expensive as it runs $4.95 per month.
