the Cost of Appliance Repair

We recently had a lot of problems with our gas stove and had to call a repair company out to look at it.Three of the four burners would not light. We called a few different companies to get estimates, a few of them were able to give an estimate over the phone. Some of the companies will charge you for just coming out, about fifty dollars was the average price for someone to even come out to see what the problem was. We found one company who came out and gave a free estimate. The cost of the repair was $150. All of the burners were clogged and that was what was causing the problem. After watching him clean the burners it might be something I can do my self next time. It only took about an hour. So, basically it was $150 for an hour's worth of work. But it was necessary to have it done.

The work was very much needed and if you don't know how to do it yourself, its best to call someone who does. He fixed the problem and now my stove is working fine, so It was worth the $150. A new stove is way more than twice that amount.

I would just recommend that you call as many companies as you can to get the best deal and maybe even a free estimate!
