I found a divorce lawyer that took care of all of paperwork, and did most of the court dates with out me, which saved me alot of time and aggravation. My lawyer handled the custody issues, child support, and property issues. I only attended one mediation meeting, and the final court date. This saved me from having to miss work, and it also saved me the headache of going. My lawyer had an office that was close by, and she also excepted payments for her fees.

My divorce lawyer was great. We had to fight a little, but she managed to make things very bearable. She was very prompt, direct, and she had a lot of experience which helped tremendously in this particular situation. I was able to call her directly, so no irritating voice systems that make you waste time pushing buttons. She also managed to have every thing completely finished in a timely manor, so it wasn't long and drawn out.
Tips
Always call around first, explain your situation to them and they can give you a quote of what it may cost. It is also a good idea to find out if they except any sort of payment plan too.
