the Cost of Wedding DJs

I originally wanted to hire a local band to play at my wedding, but it was going to cost around four times as much as a dj so I decided that money could pay for a nice honeymoon. I hired someone I heard about from a friend which is how the dj business works I think. Everything is based on recommendations. $1500 was for five hours not including setup. The company came and set everything up early in the day so they could be ready when the guests showed up. They played the type of music I requested and also took requests from the crowd and even played a few game to get the party going and dancing.

I liked how interactive the dj was with the crowd of different ages. They would play songs that my daughter and grandmother would like. It really added to my special day. The dj got two breaks adding up to about an hour of non dj music, but this wasn't included in the five hours. I will hire this company again if I ever have a need for a dj company.

Live bands are way better but they are also way more expensive, so have your priorities in line before you decide whether a live band or a dj is better for your occasion.
