Description of service

One day while I was using it my computer all of a sudden shut down. It would get to the start screen and the computer would just sit there and never completely boot up. I took it in to have it looked at. A couple of days after I brought the computer in I received a call telling me that the hard drive was damaged. My computer was 5 years old and I had planned to get a new one. After buying the new computer the store I went to placed all the data on my old hard drive onto my new computer. The cost of the service covered the data recovery as well as gave me 1 years worth of free data recovery and reduced repair prices at the store I went to.

Review of Service

The overall service I received was very good. It was a bit annoying to be without my computer for several days but I think it is a reasonable amount to time to take to diagnose a computer problem. I am glad that along with the data recovery service I got a year of free data recovery and reduced repair prices. I don’t think I’ll have to use this since my computer is new but you never know. I think this service was a good value for the price I paid. $150 seemed a little expensive at first but when I though about all the information I would have lost it dose not seem that bad in the end.

One annoying thing is that after I brought my new desk top into the store to have the data transferred the store forgot to return the plug connecting the computer to an outlet. I did not notice this till I got home, so I had to drive all the way back to the store. It was not that big of a deal though.

Tips

Make sure you back up all your data. We all know this but we put it off till we have trouble. I would also say to go to a reputable place to have your computer. There are a lot of big name places that can help and I would feel better doing it with a company I knew.
