Description of service

Shortly after high school I decided to make some extra income by starting up a business. My company makes candles, soaps, and other assorted homemade goodies. At first when I started I didn't need much help because I was just starting up my business. But business picked up quickly and so I needed to find an extra employee quick. All of my friends and family members already have full time jobs so they weren't able to lend a hand. So I decided to try out a local temporary agency.

Review of Service

This is probably a more expensive way to go when hiring employees. While I could have hired someone off the street for cheaper I decided to go with a temporary employee agency for several reasons. My main reason for going this route is because you are able to let the employee go without giving a reason. You don't have to do the firing yourself if the worker doesn't work out. Another reason is that I didn't have to pay health insurance on the employee because they can get that through the temporary company they are working for. However, I did pay about 3 dollars more per hour to be able to use a temporary employee (this goes to the temp agency) and you also have to sign a 90 contract with the temp agency although I think sometimes you can get 60 day contracts.

Tips

In my opinion, this is a good way to go if you are hiring new employees. For one, it lets you try out different people to see how well they fit into your company. Also it gives them the chance to learn new and different skills that they may have never learned just working at one job. It's definitely worth it.
