Description of service

I had a friend that I purchased a TV from for cheap. However, he lived about 50 miles away and the TV was too large to fit in my tiny car. So to resolve this problem, I figured that I would rent a truck. I began searching locations for the most common company I knew of. I located one just about 10 miles from my home.

Review of service

I drove to the nearest location and stood in line for about 20 minutes. When I approached the counter, the clerk asked for my last name and if I had reseerved a truck. I wasnt aware that I had to reserve a truck. All I needed was a small pickup but there were none available. The only thing they had were the largest you could rent! So they called another location for me and found a pickup truck.

I got to the new location and told them my name as the other company called for me. But the truck was gone already. But they did have a small box truck available for 75.00+gas and milage after 50mi. Of course, I took it as I was on a deadline.

I would best describe the truck as being the biggest piece of junk on wheels. No AC, no dash lights, tail light out, engine died when warmed up and stopped at a light, no radio, and worst of all, no emergency breaks!

Determined, I made it to my destination and back after several hours of terrible luck. I dropped the truck off and the place was closed. All I could do was just deal with the frustraition.

I called the company the next day and explained my experience and requested a refund of the 75.00. I offered to pay for the gas and mileage just because I was trying to be nice. They refused and charged the full 89.00 without even an apology.

In my opinion, this was totally a rip off charge for the service and truck that I got. At best, the cost of that truck in good condition shouldnt be over 50 bucks. They dont take care of their trucks anyway...
