Description of service
After a big storm, I engaged the services of a local tree trimmer and removal company, They were to trim all the trees on my property and remove the debris. They came out and gave me an estimate of $350 to do all the trees and remove the debris. Two men were sent out a week later. The went from tree to tree and trimmed.
Review of Service
The service was adequate but not great. I was then charged more than the estimate of $350 I was charge an additional $225. When asked why they said they had not included travel time and gas for their equipment. I argued that this should have been included in their estimate but I was still stuck with the bill. I finally agreed or else they would not have removed all the trees they had trimmed. The whole job only took them about 4 hours and I noticed they stopped to smoke a few times. As for the cleanup, well it was poor. I called the owner and asked him to please send them back out to finish the job as I had paid the additional amount. He said he would and apologized. They never showed up.
Tips
I made the mistake of not having a written estimate. Always have it in writing. Do not let yourself be intimidated into paying more than you were told.
