the Price of Renting an SUV

We rented a seven-person minivan from Friday morning 10:00 a.m. until Monday morning 10:00 from an off-airport location. We had it for three full days and it was provided to us with a full tank of gas and we returned it full so that there was no additional charge for that. The price was $80 per day and the taxes brought the total to $270, but we did not have to pay airport taxes or tourist fees that are imposed on airport rentals. We had a mileage limit of 200 miles per day but we did not go over that.

The minivan was ready for us when we arrived to pick it up and the rental process only took about 10 minutes. The minivan was clean on the outside and the inside only showed minimal wear. It has been a non-smoking vehicle which was nice to know so that we did not have to deal with a smoky smell. It ran well while we were using it and it was easy to figure out the controls. It had a radio and a cd player. We used it to carry 5 people and some bags and other items that we took with us on our trips. The price was fair for the rental service and it was worth it to us to be able to travel in one vehicle.

Rent away from the airport if possible to avoid additional charges, taxes and fees. Use the insurance from your credit card so that you can save another $10 off the daily rate by not buying the company insurance.
