the Price of DVD Rental Kiosks

A new kiosk retailer has appeared in several stores in our neighborhood. You simply select the movie that you want to rent. Check out with your debit or credit card and the movie is automatically vended to you from the kiosk. The charge is 1 dollar per day and you have to return the movie within the 24 hour period.

I selected a dvd rental at a large national kiosk retailer. The process is fairly straight forward. You can go online and register. Then you would select a movie or location of the rental. The registration requires that you submit a valid credit or debit card upon sign up. From there the process is easy. You can reserve you DVD at a location that is near you by just selecting a movie and location online. You can also just stop by the kiosk and rent a DVD at the location. The movie selection included most of the recently released DVD and some of the older or classic title. The interface was simple and once you swipe your credit or debt card the movie is vended immediately. You have 24 hours to view the title or you will be charged an extra day. Once we were done viewing the DVD we just simply returned it to the kiosk. You are able to rent from any kiosk and return the DVD to ANY kiosk. You do not have to return the DVD to the kiosk from which you have rented it. That a great convience and makes this service real desirable.

For popular DVD releases i always reserve a copy online so that I can assure the dvd rental at a location that is near my home.
