Description of service

We paid the amount of $25 per hour for 6 months of speech therapy sessions for our 3 year old son. These sessions were once a week for one hour per session. So, he had about 24 sessions and we paid a total of $600 for all of the sessions combined.

Review of Service

My son was recommended for speech therapy when we informed his pediatrician that he just wasn't talking at the same level of other kids his age. He tended to use one word at a time or small phrases to communicate. He wasn't really talking in sentences too much, and most people found him really hard to understand. The speech therapy helped immensely. He seems to be doing a lot better with his speech. He is learning how to communicate better. I work with him every day to make sure he stays on task and practices his speaking skills each day. I was really happy with this service, and I would recommend that anyone whose child is having speech problem that they should contact a speech therapist or get a referral from their pediatrician.

Tips

Talk to your child's pediatrician if you feel that he or she is not progressing as they should. They could give you their opinion, and perhaps recommend a good speech therapist in your area.
