Perfect wedding invitation helps with bride's special day  more... close row

Description of service

Having the perfect wedding invitation to go along with a bride's special day is extremely important. There are services available online for much cheaper prices, however most brides like to get the personal touch of a local business. I am going to base these numbers off of our order of 100 invitations. When deciding on an invitation you will sit down with a representative at an invitation or stationary store and start by picking the general layout and look of your invitation. There are literally thousands of possible combonations to choose from. Certain items are obviously more pricey and extravagant than others. Once the invitation and layout are chosen, you move on to the font you wish to use. Then the style of envelope. There are regular envelopes with the standard adhesive, or you can spend a little more on self sticking envelopes. We decided to go with the cheaper envelopes, as we were assured the glue was non-toxic. We also decided to have a caligrapher take care of the addresses. This cost slighly more, but was worth the money. The total price breakdown was as follows; $400 for the invitations, $200 for the envelopes, $190 for the caligraphy, and $60 in state sales tax.

Review of Service

The service that my fiance and I received was beyond fantastic. Knowing that we had a team of professionals there to help us put our worries at ease. This was my first time ordering invitations for anything and I was not aware of how many facets there were. From the first time we sat down with the professionals it was obvious that they wanted our invitations to be perfect in every way and anything less would not be acceptable. They treated us like family and took a huge weight off of our shoulders.

When we received the finished product we were amazed. The attention to every detail was staggering. Even today when I go to friends or relatives homes I still see the invitation displayed. This is the ultimate testament to the hard work and expert craftsmanship that the invitation makers employ. My fiancé and I are extremely happy with our decision to use a local invitation store rather than a large chain or internet shop. Being able to put a face with the name and know that they cared about our special day was more than worth spending the few extra dollars. I would recommend that anyone use a local service when trying to send out their invitations for the big day.

Tips

There are usually more than one invitation shop or calligrapher and any given area. Don’t pick the first one you visit. Get information from all of the stores in the area so that you know you are getting the best deal and also so that you know you will get along with the people doing the work for you. I was quoted a better price at a couple of the other stores around me, but when looking at the style and attention to detail they had, it was obvious that I should spend a few extra dollars to get a top notch result. Also, chances are that if you are getting married, you know someone else who has been married recently in your area. Do not hesitate to ask them for advice. They will be more than willing to tell you what they liked or didn’t like about their invitation process. Also don’t be afraid to ask the vendors to provide some references for themselves. Most wedding invitation companies keep a file of letters from happy customers and would love for you to see how happy they have made other couples in the past. In general, use your resources and shop around to be sure you have a great invitation experience.
