Description of service

We recently offered to pay for the wedding invitations for the daughter of a close relative who needed the help, as our wedding gift to the new couple. We told them to choose the style and format they desired but to keep it within 200 dollars. They chose a simple invitation on quality paper stock, and for 150 dollars, plus a little over 8% sales tax, we were able to have 50 invitations printed. Included with the wedding invitations were two envelopes, the inner and outer ones, a piece of rice or waxy paper insert, and a small business type card with their names printed on it. We placed the order two months before the wedding to make sure the printing was done in time and with a chance to make any corrections if they were needed. We told the couple to make sure to preview the copy for the invitation to prevent any errors. The invitations were printed within a few weeks so we had plenty of time for the couple to fill them all out and send them.

Review of Service

I felt this was a quality printing job for the price, which worked out to three dollars per invitation. We could have chosen to print the invitations on a home computer, but they wouldn't have looked as professional. We could have selected an even cheaper invitation, but since a wedding happens - hopefully - just once in a couple's lives, it was worth it to spend more. The printer made sure we double-checked and proofread the copy before printing it, and guaranteed to redo the invitations without charge if they were responsible for any mistake. The invitations were printed in a timely fashion which was crucial.

Tips

My main tip would be to be sure to proofread the copy on the invitation both before it is printed, and as soon as you get the final product. That way if anyone made a mistake, or if there has been a change in the time or date of the wedding or reception, a change can be made. I would suggest if there is a small change needed after the invitations have been printed, you could insert a small printed paper with the change.
