the Price of Exterior House Painting

We bought this house in summer of 2007 and it needed some major work before moving in.It was in desperate need of a paint.We found a local company that offered great rates.The first visit consisted of reviewing the size of the house,going over color choices,giving us a list of refrences and setting up a date for them to come out and start.They did warn us up front that if there was any problems with the wood after they started the price would be higher.The paint and there supplies was $800 and the painting itself was $2100.The square footage of our house was 2200 sq feet.They finished the job within a week and this included scrapping of the house.they work aprox. 4 hrs a day. We had the outside painted a pale green with white trim around windows and doors

The people in the office were very polite and proffesional.i think thats one of the first positve things when dealing with any company.The workers came out and did just as they said,they had a complete color chart from us to chose from and had there refrences in hand.They were able to get us started within a week of our first meeting.They arrived on the job site right on time and worked right up until quitting time.I would have liked to have the job done earlier than a week but understood it took a lot of scrapping because of all the layers of paint on the house.They kep all paint chips picked up and hauled away in the proper fashion.

I always like to have refrences when anyone will be working around my home.Also see if you can pay by the job and not by the hour.Ask them what if any supplies are included with there services.
