Most banks offer free online banking. Online banking is very easy and convenient. You can look at your balance any time of day or night, you can pay your bills online. You can also set up reoccurring payments, or pay your bills on any day you choose.If you choose to set up reoccurring payments for your bills, you wont have to worry about forgetting to pay a certain bill and having it be late. When you set up the payments, it asks you for all the information on each bill that you want to have automatically paid each month. It will ask you how much you want to pay on each bill, and then on the day that you select, the bank will automatically pay that bill that you want paid and it will deduct the bill amount from your checking account, all of this is usually free.

I think online bill pay is an excellent service that the banks offer. Its like having your own accountant paying your bills for you on time with out worrying about it.
Tips
Ask your bank if they offer FREE online banking. If they don't, I would consider switching banks, because most banks offer this service for free. I think it would be worth switching banks to utilize this service.
