Description of service

being between jobs again i had looked for a while but was getting nowhere fast. i had heard about a life coach and thought i'd check it out because i was really unsure if i should maybe change careers and if i did, in what field. i called the only one in town and was told that there would be a flat $2200.00 fee which would include 6 months of life coaching which included up to 3 calls a day and unlimited emails. after checking out what a head hunter would cost (employment finder), i thought it was a decent fee especially if i can get some coaching on what other fields i might be good at and how to break into them. i've always been one to try something new.

Review of Service

well, after our first telephone meeting where the payment was received i called the next day and tried to find out how we would proceed. how would i find out what i might be better at than the field i was currently in. i was referred to a website where i could take a test or two about changing careers and i should email her the results. i did that and nothing happened for a couple of days so i called and left messages twice and could get no one. i emailed a few more times and nothing. believe me when i say that i was diligent in trying to contact this person again but to no avail. the last message and emails i left were to notify of my attorney contacting her.

Tips

this is not to say that there aren't any good life coaches. i guess my biggest problem is that i was a tad naieve. i'm sure there are but get references! talk to other people that they have coached. if they won't reveal anyone don't use them. get a step by step guide of their process and verify, verify, verify.
