the Cost of Cable Internet Service Providers

We moved into a new apartment in Seattle and signed up for cable internet service with a large national internet service provider. They were able to install the cable modem and set up the service on the day that we moved in, so we didn't have to wait for service.

We think that the service we've received has been of pretty good quality. While we do not agree with the provider's positions on peer-to-peer networking, we are on a very tight budget and this was the least expensive high-speed internet service provider we could find. We feel that we are getting a good value for the amount we pay, since this provider very rarely has connection or speed issues.

People who want to become a new customer with an internet service provider should sign up with the provider as far in advance of their desired installation date as possible. We signed up about a month before we moved and were lucky to get the service installed on our moving day.
